Methods and devices for the prevention and treatment of the middle ear conditions, catarrhal and purulent rhinitis, inflammation of the mucous membrane of maxillary, ethmoid, sphenoid and frontal sinuses, adenoids -

The patient cleans the nose thoroughly. After inhaling he/she takes a tube in the mouth and blows (sucks in) air into the tube while the soft palate is pressed against the back wall of the pharynx isolating the nasal cavity from the pharynx. And at a time he/she compresses SOFTLY the elastic balloon attached to one of the nostrils while another nostril is held closed. Air from the balloon enters the nasal cavity. When the required PROLONGED positive pressure is reached air from the nasal cavity enters into the middle ear on both sides. When the patient conducts the procedure without assistance the value of pressure in the nasal cavity is controlled by the patient without assistance. It can be applied in case of eustachitis, aero-otitis, etc.

       Лежа на спине с максимально запрокинуто головой, вливают в нос лекарственный раствор. Закрывают одну ноздрю пальцами рук, к другой ноздре герметично присоединяют какое-либо отсасывающее устройство и в полости носа создают изменяющееся во времени отрицательное давление. В это же время пациент выдувает или всасывает воздух из полости рта в узкую трубочку или через щель между губами. Лекарство, вследствие разности давлений, вводится в околоносовые пазухи.
